Suggestions for your hikes in the surroundings
Adventure trail Vorbichl
This simple, 2 km long trail is really for everyone, even for families with stroller. Start in Prissian and enjoy along the path adventure stations. Learn much about the nature, geology and cultural history of the region thanks to the many information boards on the way.
Artistical felt hiking trail
This path also offers to the walkers a unique experience: along the way, you will find 24 artistic felt figures from 7 different countries, produced with the wool of local sheep. They found their place in the nature of the wood and give it a sort of magic through their presence. Particularly interesting and funny for children.
Saint Hippolytus
A mysterious and fascinating place … the church of St. Hippolytus is also referred to as the “Acropolis of South Tyrol“. Its history dates back to the Stone Age. An easy path starts from Tisens and leads to this roman church giving the traveler a breathtaking view over the Adige Valley… Enjoy the view of over 20 villages and 40 castles can be viewed from this fantastic vantage point.
Panoramic trail
If you walk from St. Hippolytus to the pond of Naraun, you can enjoy the panorama of Tisens. Along the way there are three castles that you can admire: castle Fahlburg, castle Wehrburg and castle Katzenzungen.
